Tropical Biology Association is a leading organisation in capacity building in conservation. WildAct is honoured to be one of six project partners collaborating with Tropical Biology Association to conduct a regional capacity building program named “Strengthening Capacity for Conservation in Indo-Burma”. The program was developed by Tropical Biology Association (TBA) and funded by Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) for the cycle from 2023 to 2024. The program aims to provide local CSO and NGOs in the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot with the tools and skills to enhance their long-term conservation impact.

The EAGLE Network
Supported:
WildAct collaborates with The EAGLE Network to conduct the project titled “Improving enforcement to disrupt illegal wildlife trade between Africa and Vietnam''. In this project, WildAct and The EAGLE Network will collaborate to train Asian wildlife crimes investigators, in a long-term plan partnership. The trained investigator will then travel to African countries – where The EAGLE Network operates, to provide field investigation support when required. This collaboration will be valuable for enforcement in both Vietnam and Africa in the effort to end illegal wildlife crimes.
The project aims to create a long-term partnership of wildlife crime investigators between Vietnam and Africa; improve Vietnamese and Asian investigators’ capacity; and increase enforcement efforts and arrest rates in EAGLE network’s operating African countries.

Supported:
In response to increasing threats facing wild birds and migratory birds, WildAct collaborates with BOOVironment to develop and implement a bird conservation project titled “Bird Saviours'. Our project aims to increase awareness of urban people towards migratory bird conservation, hopefully contributing to reducing demand for bird consumption. Specifically, we co-design and co-deliver a 3-phase communication campaign with various initiatives and hands-on activities targeting a wide range of audiences from November 2022 to December 2023.

CSAGA
Supported:
From 2020 to 2023, 28 organisations and agencies participated in different phases of the project titled “Reducing Gender-Based Violence in Vietnamese Conservation Sector”.

CSAGA is a leading organisation with 20 years working in Gender-based Violence in Vietnam. USAID RISE Challenge and CSAGA experts have worked alongside WildAct in the whole project.
