In August, 43 officials from Pu Mat National Park and Free the Bears, representatives from partnering units and local people from the buffer zone, participated in the training session "Gender Equality and Prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace".

Experts from the Center for Studies and Applied Sciences in Gender - Family - Women and Adolescents (CSAGA) provided participants with knowledge and information on gender equality and sexual harassment and prevention in the working environment. Furthermore, participants are equipped with abilities such as listening and questioning skills in circumstances of preventing, responding to, and assisting sexual harassment cases. The aim of this training is to support two organizations to enhance the safety and gender equality of their workplace. The female staff implementing conservation activities was also handed 11 sets of safeware/ work kits during the event.

This is one of the initiatives awarded in January 2023 - part of WildAct's "Reducing Gender-Based Violence in the Vietnamese Conservation Sector", funded by the USAID RISE Challenge. The initiative will take place in two organizations from now until the end of December 2023.
